about me

I have been involved in photography all of my adult life. I loved shooting film cameras as a kid, little disposable ones and then graduating to being in charge of the families little digital one on trips - claiming it as my own.

Around 10 years ago I went back in time and got passionate about film photography, and medium format in particular. It led me to take my MFA in Photography and seek to build something exciting with my time and expertise.

I love to shoot street photography. Being present in a space and trying to interpret what's going on - with or without a camera - is a compelling activity for me. I love portraiture both dynamic and more regular. I love interacting with new people and quickly creating their story.

I've interned and worked at a variety of magazines, studios and assisted local photographers including working as the lead sports photographer for a top flight professional soccer team - all over 20 years ago mostly when I was in my teens and trying to make it for the first time.
I opted instead for a BSc in Mathematics and went on to have a successful career working as a marketing director for Technology companies. Today I have been mostly focussed on the academic and artistic side of photography through my MFA and I am eager to find projects involving humans and spark ideas collaboratively for practical or artistic pursuits.
